About Customer:
The printer is a one-stop-shop and Stockholm’s largest printing company for all your printing requirements, including different garments and small physical products (bags, balloons, USB sticks, sweet boxes, mugs & so on); they also contribute to events by offering prints for tents, fair tables, banners, and, beach flags. However, they started their printing company with paper printing and, to date, continue the same with customized tailoring through their years of expertise in providing magazines, posters, blocks & business cards, leaflets, flyers, and many more such materials as per the customer’s demand.
They are a part of the Brover group and have their own textile as well as digital printing plants across the country, so they don’t print in-house; instead have partners in Sweden and Europe; their goal is to have production closer to custom that will reduce the length of transportation, thus able them to deliver product faster than ever. Moreover, their company is equipped with world-class tools, and all their employees have excellent knowledge and experience in print media.
Client’s Needs:
Previously Printer had a website on woo commerce; however, they were looking for a company that could move it to Magento’s latest version with additional advanced features having high performance and seamless processing; that’s the reason Rock Technolabs took the responsibility to deliver their fully-functional Magento website. And we feel proud that our Magento expert developers did their best for them.
They were looking for customized search results, a mega menu, an Incl / Excl Tax switcher, so customers can see the price with and without tax/vat, plus a customized product detail page that calculates the tier price based on quantity along with printing cost and bifurcations of entire price calculations. Also, they wanted Google GA4 tracking for private and b2b customers on different events like contact us, add to cart, checkout, etc., which helps the printer marketing team analyze data and target the customer for marketing and remarketing.
For additional functionalities, they were in need of a B2B customized checkout process, premium API integrations, and Cloudlab API integration for dynamically printing the text and image on the product and making it ready to print format. Plus, they want to rank higher on the search engine result page, so we made some changes regarding SEO, such as rewriting the URL, doing 301 redirects, and optimizing the website pages.
Challenges:
The Printers’ team desired for a highly customized theme, and it was required on all website pages, so while working on this at that time due to some issues we were facing errors that were causing problems with page elements; however, later, we fixed it successfully. Also, the migration of products, options, and pricing has a complex structure set up in woo commerce. The same is exported in JSON format for the Magento version.
Earlier, on their woo commerce website, they had a different url structure, and printer didn’t want to lose its SEO, so we understood all their SEO requirement and created the same URLS for the categories and also fulfilled all the redirects with respective canonicals, which helped the website to keep maintain their ranking in google, although this process was a little time taking, and some issues pop up as a result of backend URLs.
They were explicitly targeting different audiences like companies and regular customers for which they were looking for specific data too to target more precisely and accurately for their various printing services, so our team implemented GA4 tracking on each significant event, but because Google Analytics 4 works on an entirely different model we were facing challenges with engaged session, engaged rate, and acquisition data but within few days we solved it too, just by making some changes into the GA4 platform.
Solutions:
Just after preparing the whole strategy to migrate their store from woo commerce to Magento, we immediately started our work; for the migration, we created custom tools that converted files from JSON to normalized CSV and also created a script to import data into magento. We used the hyva theme (the latest and most advanced & modern theme of Magento), which was entirely customized; on top of the hyva theme, we followed all the structure of the hyva theme and customized the home page, menu, product listing with filters, PDP with customizable options, cart and checkout process as well for better customer experience.
As per our discussion over the call with Printer’s team, their primary customer on the websites are b2b, so they have specific requirements, such as they want to display the delivery address first, and then after the billing address, we altered the default checkout and fulfilled this requirement along with other customized features and third-party API integrations.
Printer’s employees were using the Premium CRM to fulfil their orders, inventory and customers for better customer satisfaction and proper communication. We have done a migration service to sync the orders from Magento to Premium and inventory sync to both magento and Premium. We have followed all the standardization while the development of the hyva theme; our developers also kept in mind all crucial aspects of boosting the speed of the website, such as optimising images for all pages, reducing the number of HTTPS requests, minified HTML and Apache tweaks for content delivery, implemented HTTP accelerator Varnish, optimized database queries and collection for faster loading of listing and product pages.
Final Result:
The Rock Technolabs team is happy to say that we did exactly what clients were expecting from us. They fully appreciated their new website with multiple desirable features, having improved UI/UX, the robust infrastructure of both the backend & frontend and enhanced speed. We can confidently say that we fulfilled all their requirements for B2B & B2C customers. Plus, we engineered their website strong enough to handle marketing campaigns with flawless performance across various digital platforms.
Moreover, now the website’s hyva theme shows a 95+ lighthouse / Google page speed score, and page loading time is approx 1 sec, which is exceptional to beat their opponents.
